Our Horses

At Free Spirit Stables at Rushing Winds Farm we rescue horses and ponies from all parts of the United States. Whether the horse has been physically or mentally abused, our goal is to "completely rehabilitate and provide food and care for its well being". Upon its arrival to our farm, each horse is examined by our on-site veterinarian. The veternarian establishes whether or not the horse has had its recent injections / shots and a complete physical examination is performed to determine the horse's current overall physical health and well being. Once the examination is performed, our farm staff begin to rehabilitate each horse through training and general physical care (food, water, administering medication etc.).

Once each horse has been rehabilitated and our staff feels comfortable and confident, "we sponsor the horse to a child that would like to learn how to ride and care for a horse". Our horses then can be utilized for other services our farm offers as well, such as our riding camps, horse shows, birthday parties and trail rides.
